Description
This unique variety takes a bit longer to bloom than traditional amaryllis, but it’s definitely worth the wait! Mystica’s fluted blooms, which are a dazzling lime green with cherry-maroon striping, open about 8-10 weeks after planting. With its splashy colouring and long-petaled flowers resembling orchids or butterflies, this exciting variety is considered a cybister type of amaryllis. The plant’s enormous bulb sprouts one or two large flower stems, each of which produces 3-4 blooms. Spent flowers should be quickly removed from stalks, but foliage should be allowed to dry before removing in order to conserve the bulb’s energy for next year’s blooming cycle. Ships as a 30-32 cm bulb.
